JD: Gaga is the Marilyn Manson of pop

Elton John, Korn, New Kids on the Block, Skrillex, Tommy Lee of Mötley Crüe, Slipknot, Taylor Momsen and more Talk Lady Gaga - ARTISTdirect News: Lady Gaga is everywhere these days and rightfully so.

She's brought some danger back to pop music by defying safe conventions while simultaneously churning out one timeless hook after another in the process. "Born This Way" is a stadium-filling declaration of independence, while "Judas" remains a subversive little gem. They're both merely setting the stage for the music event of the year: the release of her second full-length offering, Born This Way, on May 23rd, 2011.

Given how ubiquitous she's become, everybody has an opinion on Miss Gaga—from her adoring little monsters to her detractors to her peers. Gaga's peers were kind enough to share thoughts on potentially collaborating with her in this exclusive ARTISTdirect.com feature.

[Several artists] spoke to ARTISTdirect.com editor and Dolor author Rick Florino in this exclusive piece about Lady Gaga. They talk about possibly hitting the studio with Gaga and so much more…

Legendary Korn main man Jonathan Davis sums Gaga up best though saying, "She's like the Marilyn Manson of pop!"

Jonathan Davis: I'd collaborate with almost anybody, bro [Laughs]. You don't know until you try it. I'm sure artists like Lady Gaga and Britney Spears would want to jump out of the box and do something different. I like Lady Gaga. She's like the Marilyn Manson of pop. Fuck yeah, I'd do that!

James "Munky" Shaffer: She looks like she's into metal [Laughs]. Why not collaborate? We've done a lot of collaborating in the past!

This is lame! Are you guys promoting Lady Gaga, too? Last time I saw a Gaga, it was laying an egg on the red carpet. Jesus Christ you guys suck! And your parent company, Roadrunner, sucks too! We hate your propaganda! Did Roadrunner sign Lady Gaga or something? Fluck off! Gaga is awful and the only reason why shes still big, today, is because of organizations such as ArtistDirect. Her newest album was trash-bin material, yet, it gets promoted EVERYWHERE! MONEY, GAGA, MONEY!

Sincerely,

Don't forget they said they'd do one with Britney too, lmao.

I get how they said they'd do something with gaga since she's so outrageous and unique, but come on, jon!! Mentioning britney? Makes ya sound a little desperate to be back in the spotlight lol. But yeah I'm a fan of gaga and manson already remixed love game so maybe she WOULD be down for it!
