KoRn's EP due June 14th!

The Joys of Summer: The Most Highly Anticipated Albums of Summer 2011: Can you believe we're already talking about the most anticipated albums of the summer? It seems like just yesterday we were planning our New Year's Eve party. Before you know, it will be 2012 and we'll be talking about the Top Ten Ways to Protect Yourself Against the Mayan Apocalypse. Summer isn't meant for such heavy thoughts, however- so let's get to the albums that will be rocking our block party barbeques all season long.

Korn - Digital EP - June 14th

Now it's time for something completely different: Korn just released a brand new track on their website called "Get Up"- co-written by one of the hottest dubstep DJ's around, Skrillex. "Get Up" is now streaming on SoundCloud. They also made a surprise appearance at Coachella with Skrillex that rocked the Sahara tent silly. Now, the internets, radio stations, and rabid fans everywhere can't get enough- which means this digital EP will be making a big splash this summer.

Artists on this EP have not yet been anounced, but we've previously found that the DNB artist Ewun will be collaborating with KoRn on this EP. On the subject of KoRn's collaboration's, here's a Skrillex tidbit:

Skrillex has laptops featuring new album stolen: Skrillex needs your help. Late last night the DJ posted the following message on his Facebook page, “Just gonna set it strait. I had 2 laptops and both of my hard drives stolen out of my hotel in Milan Italy last month. On those laptops and drives were all the project files of Skrillex. All gone now. Also I had a new album that is now gone too. I spent a week pulling my hair out but now im just focusing on the future and re making my album.” (As of this afternoon almost 3,000 fans have commented on the situation.)

To date, the dubstep sensation has released two EPs: 2010’s My Name Is Skrillex and Scary Monsters And Nice Sprites, but he has yet to release a full-length despite selling out venues all over the world and touring with everyone from Deadmau5 to Tommy Lee.

In case you’re not a dubstep aficionado, Skrillex is the latest project from former From First To Last frontman Sonny Moore. This month he’ll be playing a short run of European festivals before returning to the U.S. in June. We’ll let you know if the laptops and hard drives are successfully recovered and we wish Skrillex the best of luck while withstanding what has to be an insanely frustrating situation.
