Skrillex has been dividing opinions amongst dubstep fans, especially since teaming up with Korn on their new dubstep-influenced album, ’The Path Of Totality’.
Speaking to the Guardian, Skrillex said: "I don't even try to make 'dubstep'. It's just another tempo and rhythm that I work in, because it makes people go wild."
Despite any backlash he has received for such views, Skream has stood up for him, citing that his “production is so fucking clean but twisted” and that he's “shaken everything up without even knowing it. He's almost done to dubstep what me and Benga did to garage."
KoRn's video premiered this week – you can watch the video for their single ’Get Up’ below. The album, which will be released on December 5, will also feature dubstep producers Excision, Datsik, Noisia, Kill The Noise and 12th Planet.
Korn’s bassist Fieldy previously revealed to NME that frontman Jonathan Davis got the rest of the band into dubstep, saying: “We feel it's important to stay current and keep on top of what's going on."
